Purple and lace (day three of nine day dress challenge)

Dress – Frock & Frill @ Simply Be

Cardigan – Tesco

Tights – Simply Be

Shoes – Dorothy Perkins circa 2008

Today’s plans all went a bit to pot due to the snow! I was meant to be going and meeting my friend Nina, for a good old catch up as I haven’t seen her since my birthday. I was going to wear this outfit but I woke up to about 4 more inches so snow so Nina and I called off our dinner plans. I did put this outfit on, but even in the house I was cold, so you’ll know if you follow me on Twitter that I ended up in jeans and a woolly jumper to brave the elements.

Its a shame because I was really looking forward to wearing my purple shoes! I bought the shoes on a whim about two years ago and they have done so well – barely any signs of wear and tear and they really perk an outfit up. However, I ended up wearing my biker boots again as patent purple shoes and snow sadly do not mix!

My husband still thinks I look like I’m wearing a net curtain in this dress though! Men!! Oh and this is what I actually wore today…

Jeans – Simply Be

Top (just seen) – Joe Browns @ Simply Be

So awesome. I actually went and bought the dress during their sale, so we will be dress twins soon. MWAHAHAHA, mine is an evil laugh.

    That is an awesome idea! Let’s do it. I’ll let you know when it comes in. I’m thinking stompy boots (your biker boots, I have some boots with buttons up the side that have a stompy sole) and fishnets. What do you think?

  Thanks Brooke! I must admit wearing a dress is MUCH easier than wearing a pair of trouser or a skirt and then having to find co-ordinating items!!

I just came across your blog when I was trying to find tips on how to wear leggings if you’re a curvier girl and I absolutely love your photos, your style and your unique-ness! I also think this is a great look on you and I do love the purple!
