As you know from my last post, I attended Big Beach Bums in Brighton over the weekend. Originally I had planned to wear my jumpsuit – this was me stupidly thinking that the weather would be good. But alas, it was predictably rubbish weather (it was a bank holiday after all), so I was stumped at what to wear. In the end I settled on a dress from Joe Browns (via Simply Be), which I had picked up in the sale at the end of last year and have only worn once before.
Dress – Joe Browns at Simply Be
Leggings & shrug – Evans
Shoes – ASOS
I always really admire the detail with Joe Browns items, this dress has a full skirt and a built in cotton underskirt which gives the dress a comfortable and fabulous fit.
I also got chance to wear my necklace from Brooke‘s etsy shop. Its fabulous and I love the whimsical nature of it, the kids kissing and the hot air balloon.
Rebecca and I and our Robert husbands spent the night in Brighton, having dinner at Dermot O’Leary’s restaurant Fishy Fishy and then joining Kirsty on Sunday morning for a wet and windy rummage around a car boot sale. The weather was not kind to us and the sun only came out when we left Brighton on Sunday afternoon!
Despite the weather I had a great time and I have LOVED spending time with Rebecca and her husband. Its been amazing to get to know Rebecca and feel like she’s now a true RL friend as well as a blog one. The husband and I are now planning a trip to the US to catch up with Rebecca and various other friends I have scattered across the States at present. So friends – get dusting off your spare beds, we’re coming!

We loved it too – we are definitely true RL friends now. It was so great to hang out with you and Rob and see a non-touristy side of things. We can’t wait to return the favor!
