I don’t often get to go to blogging events now I’ve changed roles so when Evolve magazine invited me to the Curves in Couture fashion show, I almost bit their hand off to accept. I arranged to meet up with Lauren for some food beforehand. I’m just going to put a load of pictures up and let them do the talking!
Lauren’s amazing tattoo
Food at GBK off Portobello Road
Warming up before heading to the catwalk. Lauren making sure her camera was working, Georgina polishing off her wine and Rosie practising her model’s pout.
Our hosts for the evening – Natalie Cassidy (Sonja from ‘enders) and Dr Pamela Stevenson
Anna Scholz

The show was really good and it was so amazing to see fabulous fat and not so fat women being able to enjoy fashion. I really want every store on the high street (and every fashion designer) to make items from size 0 to size 36+! No matter what your size, you deserve the right to wear what you like!
Now onto the most beautiful people in the room – the bloggers (not me!!)!
I finally got to meet Emma! It was also brilliant to catch up with Rosie and Lauren again. I also met Georgina – but we lost her at one point … ! I wore my Evans Collection pleated dress (kindly donated to me by Naomi). I paired it with my We Love Colors striped tights and some ancient wedges.
Not really sure what was going on here…!
Lauren’s fabulous dress was made by her mum – so talented!
A great evening and I’m really glad I went, although the journey home was epic and I got into bed at gone midnight! Looking forward to catching up with everyone next week!

You looked fabulous, looks Like a fantastic night. X
Thanks Mhairi – it was a good night. Pity there isn’t more plus size shows.
I just said to Rosie, I hope they do it again, and hopefully more things will start to happen. x
Looks fabulous – such a shame I’m so low on funds at the minute for trips to London! I’m well jel you got to meet Emma, she’s such a babe!
Boo to you being unemployed! Emma was as gorgeous in real life as she is on her blog – I felt lucky to have finally managed to meet her!
Oh, I love these shots. I especially love the ones with all of us in together. Such fun and absolute prettiness! Was so lovely to finally meet people! YEAH.
Carla – We will play another day! Promise! xxx.
Em. xxx.
Oh wow, this looks like it would have been a fabulous event to go to – loving those tights with your Evans dress, magic. I’m all about the stripy socks!
I know! Strips = wizard of Oz fabulousness!!! I need to learn to pose in that dress though – I got offered a lot of seats on tubes etc on Thurs mainly coz the dress makes me look like I’m having triplets!
I just used one of the pictures on Facebook, I have referenced you and sent everyone back here – but wanted to let you know, too. x.
Thanks!
Wow looks like a fantastic night! You all look so glam! Just the thought of curves and couture is mind blowing. Something from the world of high fashion creeping into the world of big bottom fashion -amazing!
Great post,
