Bird print shell top – New Look inspire
Green cardigan – Evans (minus 4 out of 6 buttons!)
Skirt – ASOS curve
Tights – We Love Colors
Shoes – Evans
I love this outfit – it makes me look like I actually have an hourglass shape! The ASOS skirt has been a firm favourite in my wardrobe ever since I bought it in May. I really wish ASOS would bring out a few more in colours I would wear – I had the silver one, it was too pale, I don’t like pink! Maybe I should have bought the purple one??
Hmmmm is it still on the ASOS site? (Its not, I checked!)… Anyway, I love the skirt! Its a totally winner.
As for the top – of all of my bird print items, its my least favourite. For a start, its a bit tight around my hips – shocking I know, I barely have hips! Also it creases as soon as I look at it. It also hits me right across my biggest part – my belly so I can never wear it untucked. Plus it has silly sleeves that make my arms look HUMONGOUS! However, it has been saved from the eBay pile thanks to skirts like the blue one. I can tuck it in and it doesn’t matter that it has more creases in it than … something which is very creased! … or that its a bit stretched over the belly area. Problem solved!

Really like this outfit! I love the blue and green together and despite its apparent shortcomings, they show the print of the top off to perfection….but I’ve had tops like that before from New Look and Evans, so I know exactly what you mean!
Its annoying isn’t it! I’m sure the top is meant to be loose (in fact I saw Cherry wearing one on one of her shows and it looked wicked loose!) but I’m just glad I can wear it.
Love the colour combination, i need to try out more combinations, i tend to stay pretty safe, but it looks so gorgeous when its right! xx
What do you mean by safe? I tend to stick to matching palettes – blues, purples and greens are common colours in my wardrobe along with grey.
I am a wimp, all one colour and black cardis, Green and purple are my favourite so I am hoping to add more to my wardrobe by safe I mean I am boring, lol
I love this outfit! You’re right, it does make you look hourglassy.
BTW, I laughed at your analogy: “it has more creases in it than … something which is very creased!”… because I do analogies the very same way – I start strong, but can never figure out what comparison to end with
.
I know! I couldn’t think of anything non-offensive!! Whoops!
